J.R. Vinagro accepted the challenge of this 100-acre project in Plainfield, CT by utilizing all of our in-house divisions. The project started with our Demolition division removing 4 buildings and various industrial foundations. After demolition, JRV’s Land Clearing division cleared, grubbed, and recycled 42 acres of trees. Next, Site Work began erosion control, stripping, mass grading, soil stabilization, blasting, rock crushing, wet and dry utilities, foundation excavation, pavement, and site finishes. This project included over 1.5 million cubic yards of earthmoving, 55,000 linear feet of underground utilities, 300,000 cubic yards of rock blasting, and a 4.7-million-gallon underground stormwater management system. The asphalt pavement will be installed with our self-performing paving division.
The size of this project required a team of over 50 employees and the largest equipment in the region. At the height of grading, J.R. Vinagro was moving over 25,000 cubic yards of material per workday. Multiple in-house crushing plants were utilized to make our own stone, gravel, and sand from the on-site blasted rock.
J.R. Vinagro has successfully completed a significant amount of the heavy grading for this project and looks forward to the successful completion in 2025. This project is both dynamic and challenging, that’s what makes J.R. Vinagro the perfect contractor to make the owners vision into reality.
